Capital Construction Summer Intern

Job Description
Denison Facilities is seeking to employ a current Denison University Student for a Summer Internship. This position will provide support to the University’s Facilities Management team in the planning and execution of the campus Capital Improvement projects.

The Campus Capital Improvement projects span nearly 60,000 square feet of renovation and new construction. The $25 million in improvements is part of a 10-year master improvement plan designed to rethink student housing and provide up-to-date amenities for a four-year residential campus of 2,300 students.

The projects consist of renovations to Crawford, Shorney, Smith, Curtis East, Curtis West, Myers and Good Halls, new Student Wellness Center, new Heating Plant and planning/design for the upcoming capital improvement master plan. Position will report daily to the Physical Plant or directly to jobsites.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities consist of scheduling, file management, document control, weekly meetings with Contractors and Architects, internal campus communications, daily project progress walks and complete project oversight. This position will support a 40 hours per week schedule for the duration of Summer with the potential to continue during the Fall semester on a part-time capacity.
